Stars determine lottery winners, who received prizes
Readers from all over the country voted for their favorite stars by filling out coupons. The stars received awards based on that vote. The readers’ votes determined the star survey awards for the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards 2024. Those who sent coupons also have prizes through a lottery. Actress Mehjabeen Chowdhury, young actor Farrukh Ahmed Rehan, and singer Dilshad Nahar Kona attended the Prothom Alo office last Saturday to determine the winner from among them. A pile of coupons was deposited on a table on the seventh floor; the three stars were amazed to see so many coupons!

Readers from different parts of the country filled in coupons and voted for their favorite stars. The stars received awards based on that vote. The star survey awards in the Merrill-Prothom Alo Awards 2024 were determined by the readers’ votes. Those who sent coupons also have prizes through a lottery. Actress Mehjabeen Chowdhury, young actor Farrukh Ahmed Rehan and singer Dilshad Nahar Kona arrived at the Prothom Alo office last Saturday to determine the winner. A pile of coupons was deposited on the table on the seventh floor; the three stars were amazed to see so many coupons!
Rehan received this year’s Meril-Prothom Alo Award in the Best Newcomer Actor category for her performance in a duo drama. Before the draw began, she picked three coupons one by one from the pile of coupons. All three voted for her in the Best Newcomer category. An elated Rehan then said to everyone, “So many people voted for me!” Her eyes were filled with joy. Seeing Rehan, Mehjabeen Chowdhury also saw many coupons with her name on the pile of coupons. She also started praising the actresses who were nominated with her in the same category.
Now it was the turn of the draw. Mehjabeen Chowdhury picked the first coupon from the pile of coupons. The third prize in the mega episode was a two-night, three-day (two-person) trip to Nepal for Manowara from Laksam, Comilla. Rehan picked up the next coupon in the mega episode. Tapan Nahar from Chittagong got the second prize of a two-night, three-day (two-person) trip to Malaysia.
Everyone was waiting for the first coupon. Mehjabeen and Rehan gave Kona the responsibility of picking up the coupon. She went around and picked up a coupon from the very middle of the pile of coupons. Mehjabeen shouted after taking the coupon from Kona. Rehan also got excited when he came forward and saw the coupon!
Everyone present was looking at each other. Kona was also surprised! What was happening?
